If x is an acute angle and tan x=3/4 evaluate cos x- sin x÷ cos x+ sin x

draw a right triangle wit legs 3 and 4
The hypotenuse is 5, since 3^2+4^2 = 5^2
So now plug in your numbers to get sinx and cosx and then then evaluate the expression.
