5 1/3 ÷ 2/3
First of all, get rid of that useless 5 1/3
5 1/3 = 16/3
16/3 ÷ 2/3 = 8

First, in order to make this equation easier, I'm going to convert 5 1/3 into an improper fraction.
I multiplied the whole number by the denominator, then added the numerator. (5*3=15+1=16)
Now that the denominators are similar, we have to see how many times 2 goes into 16. To do that, we can divide 16 and 2. 16/2=8.
Wendy is able to cut 8 2/3 foot pieces from 5 1/3 feet of ribbon.
(Ik this is kinda late;-;)
