as written, it clearly does not. The second expression is just
(x^2 y^2 +xy+1))
which would be
((xy)^3 - 1)/(xy-1)
How does (x^3 -y^3 -1)/(xy-1) become ((xy-1)(x^2 y^2 +xy+1))/(xy-1). I don't get where the xy on the numarator before +1 come from.
