If the vertices of Triangle ABC are A(5,-1) , B (-3,-2) , and C (-1 ,8) , find the length of the median through A

If M is the midpoint of BC, then we have M(-2,3)
Now just use the distance formula to get √((-2-5)^2 + (3+1)^2) = √65
