I read your ((x^4 -2 +x)3x^-1) as
(3/x)(x^4 + x - 2)
= 3x^3 + 3 - 6/x

then ∫ (3x^3 + 3 - 6/x) dx
= (3/4)x^4 + 3x - 6lnx + c
