    starting amount --- x
after spending 2/5 of it on breakfast, amount left = 3x/5
spends 1/6 of that on snacks, leaving (5/6)(3x/5) = x/2
spends 3/4 of that on lunch leaving with (1/4)(x/2) = x/8
so x/8 = 100
x = 800
