"The sum of two measures of two angles is 180 degrees. What is the measure of each angle if one angle is 30 degrees more than twice the other?"

would the equation be:

x+(2x+30)=180 ????

if it isn't, please explain! thanks!

Good, then the other one is twice 50 plus 30 which is 100 + 30 which is 130.

Sure enough 130 + 50 = 180
