distance = rate x time
= 3(12) = 36 miles

Jenniger's time = 36/9 = 4 hours

absurd rates of swimming!!!
Mark Spitz had an average of 4.367 mph in setting the 100m record in 1972,
and the 100 m race is a sprint.
