A potatoes takes up 3/8 of the garden . Carrots take up 2/3 of the garden tomatoes take up 1/3 of the garden . The rest of the garden has beans. How much of the garden has beans?.

your math is right, so the problem has an error.
Maybe carrots take up 2/3 of what's left over after potatoes,
and tomatoes take up 1/3 of what's left. In that case,
3/8 + (2/3)(5/8) = 3/8 + 5/12 = 19/24, leaving 5/24
If tomatoes take up 1/3 of that, or 5/72, then
beans get 2/3 of 5/24, or 5/36
