Question
I still really don't get this! I'm not in High School, I'm in 6th grade1 and I still have this problem: You have 120 pieces of fabric to make a blanket. Each piece of fabric is a square with a side length of 6 inches. You use as many pieces of fabric as possible to create a square blanket.
Answers
you want a number which is a perfect square, and at most 120.
9^2 = 81
10^2 = 100
11^2 = 121
So, an 11x11 blanket will take 121 squares, but you only have 120.
So, your biggest square blanket is 10x10, using 100 squares.
9^2 = 81
