f(x) = kx + m
f(3x-2) = k(3x-2) + m
= 3kx - 2k + m
but that is 6x - 5
clearly, 3kx = 6x ---> 3k = 6, then k = 2
and -2k + m = -5
-4 + m = -5
m = -1
