"The Intolerable Acts were five laws that were passed by the British Parliament against the American Colonies in 1774. They were given the name "Intolerable Acts" by American Patriots who felt they simply could not "tolerate" such unfair laws. The British passed these acts as punishment for the Boston Tea Party."

I'm sorry Writeacher, but I tried putting the link in (omitting the h t t p s, of course) but it didn't allow me to post it. Also, I never meant for kk to copy and paste this, just use it for help. It is hard to supply the exact sources like this. I got it from a google search, and it was on one of the flashcards of quizlet.
