Since both 13x-1 and 9x+4 are equal to y, they must be equal to each other.
13x - 1 = 9x + 4
13x - 9x = 4 + 1
4x = 5
x = 5/4
sub into either of the two equations, I will go with
y = 9x + 4
= 9(5/4)+4
= 45/4 + 16/4 = 61/4
13x - 1 = 9x + 4
13x - 9x = 4 + 1
4x = 5
x = 5/4
sub into either of the two equations, I will go with
y = 9x + 4
= 9(5/4)+4
= 45/4 + 16/4 = 61/4
