it is the equation of a straight line, right?
so, plot two points.
when x=0, y = -7*0 - 1 = -1
when x=1, y = -7*1 - 1 = -8
so, plot the points (0,-1) and (1,-8) on some graph paper.
Then draw the line that goes through those two points.
If you cannot plot points, you have some catching up to do.
