Hi there, this question isn't a homework problem, but it is related to English. I have been learning about different works of poetry, and different terms such as satire and verbal irony. Are they the same thing? I can't tell the difference between the two words.

They're all very close in meanings, but I think if you read carefully, you'll be able to distinguish which is which. If you have specific examples, be sure to read them over with each of those definitions in mind.
