whats the proportion for 2/5 = x/25 and 10/3=7/x
and y+4/11 = y-2/9 and z-1/3 = 8/z+1

Now, if you want to solve them, you can use the technique of "cross-multiplication" where you multiply the insides and the outsides.
2/5 = x/25
5*x = 2*25
5x = 50
x = 10

Or, note that 25 can be used as the common denominator. So,
2/5 = 10/25
Now you have
10/25 = x/25
Clearly, 10 = x

(y+4)/11 = (y-2)/9
(y+4)*9 = (y-2)*11
9y + 36 = 11y - 22
2y = 58
y = 29
check:
(29+4)/11 = 33/11 = 3
(29-2)/9 = 27/9 = 3
