area is measured in square inches

so then it would be base b of the triangle?

R_scott is telling you that the measure of square inches applies only to area.

Which do you think is correct?

Well 24 is not a squared number because there isn’t a number times itself that equals 24 so I said base b of the triangle.

As R_scott wrote, "area is measured in square inches."

You need the answer that has the word "area" in it!!
