What is the solution to (4 × 10^3 ) x (6 × 10^6), written in scientific notation?

I know the answer is 24 × 10^18. How would i write an equation to solve the problem?

the answer you "know" is incorrect

multiply the 4 and 6 , add the exponents , put into standard form

24 x 10^9 = 2.4 x 10^10
