Ruth's Brother went away to his college this fall and had to buy his own laundry soap and fabric softener. The laundry soap costs twice as the cost of the fabric softener. The Total of the 2 items was $7.47. How much did the laundry soap and fabric softener cost individually? PLEASE HELP! I don't get this and it's due very soon! D:

3x = 7.47
