Let's start at the beginning: Do you know how to convert and add fractions?
Answered by
~JungHoseok~
Kind of @CellLover727
Answered by
CellLover727
So for that first problem, we want them to have the same denominator. Let's see if we can find an LCD (least common denominator)
10: 10, 20, (30), 40...
6: 6, 12, 18, 24, (30)
So they have thirty in common. Now we multiply both the top number of the fractions (The numerator) and the bottom (the denominator)
31 x 3
10 x 3
21 x 5
6 x 5
Then add the Numerators and simplify
10: 10, 20, (30), 40...
6: 6, 12, 18, 24, (30)
So they have thirty in common. Now we multiply both the top number of the fractions (The numerator) and the bottom (the denominator)
31 x 3
10 x 3
21 x 5
6 x 5
Then add the Numerators and simplify

first of all, we write fractions this way in this format:
1. Find 31 over 10 + 21 over 6.
= 31/10 + 21/6
= 93/30 + 105/30
= 198/30 = 33/5
none of you given choices match this
#2 makes no sense
#3.
a • b for a = 75 over 8 and b = 3 over 8
a • b for a = 75/8 and b = 3/8
a • b = (75/8)(3/8)
= 225/64, again, nothing matches.
#4. really ?
#5
2 and 2 over 3 • 11 over 4
= 2 2/3 * 11/4
= (8/3)(11/4)
= 88/12 = 22/3 , none of these
What is this ????
1. Find 31 over 10 + 21 over 6.
= 31/10 + 21/6
= 93/30 + 105/30
= 198/30 = 33/5
none of you given choices match this
#2 makes no sense
#3.
a • b for a = 75 over 8 and b = 3 over 8
a • b for a = 75/8 and b = 3/8
a • b = (75/8)(3/8)
= 225/64, again, nothing matches.
#4. really ?
#5
2 and 2 over 3 • 11 over 4
= 2 2/3 * 11/4
= (8/3)(11/4)
= 88/12 = 22/3 , none of these
What is this ????
