There are about 20 potatoes in a 5 pound bag. A restaurant uses about 2 potatoes per order of French Fries. They charge $0.95 for an order of fries. How much money does the restaurant take in on a day that they use 400 pounds of potatoes?

so they make about 10 orders of fries per bag.
That means they make about $10 per bag of potatoes.

So, about how many bags in 400 lbs? And how many $$ ?

Alternatively, just convert lbs to $$ using

400 lbs * 1 bag/5 lb * 20 spuds/1bag * 2 spuds/order * $1/order
now just multiply all those conversion factors and all the units cancel out, leaving just $$ at the end.
