what is the perimeter and area of a quadrilateral PQRS if the scale factor is 1/5

for similar figures,
the perimeters of the two figures are directly proportional to the scale factor
but the areas of the two figures are proportional to the square of that factor

so the perimeter of the shrunken quad is 3(1/5) or 3/5 mm
but the area is 50(1/5)^2 or 2 mm^2
