Asked by Geoff

I have a bag of trail mix. One half of the bag is peanutes, 1/4 of the bag is chocolate candies, and 1/4 of the bag is dried fruit. What is the likelihood of drawing a chocolate candy?

• It is more likely than drawing a piece of dried fruit.
• It is less likely than drawing a piece of dried fruit.
• It is more likely than drawing a peanut.
• It is less likely than drawing a peanut.

My answer is D, since a half of the trail mix bag is peanuts, which gives the candy a lesser chance of being drawn.
