The answer is D - 2n. A and B wouldn't be correct due to you not getting a 3 or 2 from anywhere. It could be B since you get 2 from " twice " in the problem, but that would be you'd have to multiply 2 x ___ to find Andrew's age.
Though in answer B it shows an addition sign meaning that it couldn't be B.
It's not C due to you not getting a 3 from anywhere so that just leaves you with D. It would be D because if n represents Nichole's age then it would be 2 x n = ( Andrew's age ). The multiplication for this problem comes from the word "twice" in the word problem.
