     One way the spanish-American war influenced the emergence of the United States as a world power was that the United States emerged from the war as a world power with a significant county claiming to be stretching from the Caribbean to Southeast Asia. Another way the spanish American war influenced the emergence of the U.S as a world power was that war being caused lead to Cuba, ceded Puerto Rico and Guam to the United States gaining more power and they actually ended up impacting many different countries.
