12 kg to start.
At the end of one half life just 1/2 is left (that's what a half life is) so you will have 6 kg left.
At the end of the second half life you will have ?..... left?
At the end of the third hlf life you will have ? left.
At the end of the fourth half lift yu will have ? left.
etc. You just keep halving it for every half life.
