I'm not sure these revivalists preached that, but certainly the other three answers are wrong.
John Wesley was accused by his detractors of preaching C. Some of these folks abound today. But part of the theme Wesley preached was Together these prompted Wesley was to rely less on tradition in religion as the way to heaven, but to supplant community with individualism and immediatism.
Of course, this goes against highly tradition bound religions.
