You have the room width and length, in cm.
Since each tile is 8x8 cm, then the room size measured in tiles, is
(2240/8)(1280/8) = 280x160 = 44800 tiles
Answered by henry2,
Af = L*W = 22.4 * 12.8 = 286.72 m^2. = Area of the floor.

At = L*W = 0.08 * 0.08 = 0.0064 m^2 = Area of each tile.

Af/At = 286.72/0.0064 = 44,800 tiles.
