I really don't get this question:
10^-7x(1÷10^-5)+10^3-10^-1
10^-7x(1÷10^-5)+10^3-10^-1

It looks like that would be
[10^-7*10^5] + 1000 - 0.1
= 0.01 + 1000 - 0.1
= 999.91
[10^-7*10^5] + 1000 - 0.1
= 0.01 + 1000 - 0.1
= 999.91
