What does your assigned reading say?

my assigned reading is very long but when it comes to the part that talks ab it,,,
"the 1920s became known as the roaring twenties because american culture changed rapidly during this decade. it was a time of general economic prosperity. many features of modern life that are taken for granted today arose during the 1920s. more people lived in farms or in the country for the first time in american history. washington was ahead of the curve on this trend. it had already reached this milestone several years earlier."

Ms. Sue is right. Your assignment says, "it was a time of general economic prosperity." That doesn't match C.
You should talk to your teacher about this. It's clearly a mistake in the test.

Later in the text it says this, "During this era, the United States became the richest nation in the world. However, this affluence did not reach everyone. Farmers, factory workers, African Americans, and recent immigrants did not fare nearly as well."
Probably the reason for the answer in the quiz.
The questions for these tests, in particular, are very poorly designed.
The text clearly points to more than one of these answers as being correct.
