estimate the area of a circle.
A = pi * r^2
A = 3 * 7^2
A = 150 square units
(actual 3.14 * 49.7 = 156.07 square units)
Which missing length?

Remember that area of a circle = (pi)(r)(r)
and that the diamater = 2(r)
so since the diameter is 14.1 the radius is half of that or 7.05
Area = (pi)(r)(r)
= 3.14 x 7.05 x 7.05
