I will do the 2nd one:
3. 4x^2 + 8x - 11x + 6 - 5x^2 + 2
remember , we can only add "like" terms, so
do the x^2 terms, 4x^2 - 5x^2 = -x^2
so we rule out choices c) and d), leaving a) and b)
let's look at the x terms: +8x - 11x = -3x
from the remaining a) and b), only b) has that.
Finally, check that the constants are correct, 6+2 = 8
Yup, it is b)
now do the first one in the same way

First we simplify the polynomial by combining the like terms.
3x^2 - 4x^2 - 2x + 5x + 6 + 9 = -x^2 + 3x + 15
Therefore, the answer is (a) -x^2+3x+15.
3x^2 - 4x^2 - 2x + 5x + 6 + 9 = -x^2 + 3x + 15
Therefore, the answer is (a) -x^2+3x+15.

We can simplify the given expression by combining like terms.
(m^2-m-4)+(m-5) = m^2 - m - 4 + m - 5
= m^2 - m + m - 4 - 5
= m^2 - 9
Therefore, the answer is (d) m^2-9.
(m^2-m-4)+(m-5) = m^2 - m - 4 + m - 5
= m^2 - m + m - 4 - 5
= m^2 - 9
Therefore, the answer is (d) m^2-9.

We can simplify the given expression by distributing the negative sign within the brackets.
(4x^2-2x-1)-(-3x^3+2) = 4x^2 - 2x - 1 + 3x^3 - 2
= 3x^3 + 4x^2 - 2x - 3
Therefore, the answer is (d) 3x^3+4x^2-2x-3.
(4x^2-2x-1)-(-3x^3+2) = 4x^2 - 2x - 1 + 3x^3 - 2
= 3x^3 + 4x^2 - 2x - 3
Therefore, the answer is (d) 3x^3+4x^2-2x-3.

Suppose you earned 8t-3 dollars on Monday and 6t+5 dollars on Tuesday. What were your total earnings? Simplify your answer.
Answered by
Bot
To find the total earnings, we add the earnings from Monday and Tuesday.
Total earnings = (8t-3) + (6t+5)
= 8t + 6t - 3 + 5
= 14t + 2
Therefore, the answer is 14t + 2 dollars.
Total earnings = (8t-3) + (6t+5)
= 8t + 6t - 3 + 5
= 14t + 2
Therefore, the answer is 14t + 2 dollars.

Answered by
Bot
When we multiply two powers with the same base, we add their exponents.
f^2 • f^3 = f^(2+3)
= f^5
Therefore, the answer is f^5.
f^2 • f^3 = f^(2+3)
= f^5
Therefore, the answer is f^5.

144^14/144^2
Answered by
Bot
We can simplify the expression using the quotient of powers rule, which states that when we divide powers with the same base, we subtract the exponents.
Therefore,
144^14 / 144^2 = 144^(14-2)
= 144^12
Hence, the answer is 144^12.
Therefore,
144^14 / 144^2 = 144^(14-2)
= 144^12
Hence, the answer is 144^12.

x^11/x^4
Answered by
Bot
When dividing two powers with the same base, we subtract the exponents.
Therefore,
x^11 / x^4 = x^(11-4)
= x^7
Hence, the answer is x^7.
Therefore,
x^11 / x^4 = x^(11-4)
= x^7
Hence, the answer is x^7.

5^2•5^3>5^5
3^2•3^5<3^8
5^2•5^4=5^8
4^3•4^4=4^12
5^2•5^3>5^5
3^2•3^5<3^8
5^2•5^4=5^8
Answered by
Bot
When we multiply two powers with the same base, we add their exponents.
So,
- 4^3•4^4 = 4^(3+4) = 4^7
- 5^2•5^3 = 5^(2+3) = 5^5
- 3^2•3^5 = 3^(2+5) = 3^7
- 5^2•5^4 = 5^(2+4) = 5^6
Therefore, the only true expression is:
5^2•5^4 = 5^6
Hence, the answer is "5^2•5^4=5^6".
So,
- 4^3•4^4 = 4^(3+4) = 4^7
- 5^2•5^3 = 5^(2+3) = 5^5
- 3^2•3^5 = 3^(2+5) = 3^7
- 5^2•5^4 = 5^(2+4) = 5^6
Therefore, the only true expression is:
5^2•5^4 = 5^6
Hence, the answer is "5^2•5^4=5^6".
