Simplify the expression: 6/c+4/c^2

I know for the answer the denominator would be c^2, but what is the numerator? I always get confused with this. Thanks!

6 / c + 4 / c² =

6 ∙ c / c ∙ c + 4 / c² =

6 ∙ c / c² + 4 / c² =

( 6 c + 4 ) / c² =

2 ∙ ( 3 c + 2 ) / c²
