There are F cups of flour in a bag. First, 3/8 of the flour in the bag was used. Then, 1/5 of the remaining flour was used. At that point, there were 10 cups of flour in the bag. Write an equation involving F that corresponds to this situation
Can someone help me and explain this problem please? I got 5/8F - 4/5 = 10, but I got it wrong

It was 1/5 of the remaining flour. That gives you
5/8 F - 1/5 * 5/8 F = 10
5/8 F - 1/5 * 5/8 F = 10
