A man having 20 litres of petrol in his car, uses it for 600 km. How many kilometers will the same man travel with 19.25 litres.

There are two ways to analyze these rate problems:
a) Ratio analysis. 600km:20L::x/19.25 or
600/20=distance/19.25 and then distance= 19.25*600/20
b. Rate analysis. The rate of fuel consumption is 20liters/600km

distance=(600km/20L)(19.25L)
