Adnan bought 96 eggs at the rate of Rs.40 per dozen and sold sold at the rate of Rs.4 per egg. Find the percentage of profit, if 3 eggs were rotten

assuming the rotten eggs were not sold, then
cost: (96/12)*40 = 320
sales: (96-3)*4 = 372
% profit: (372-320)/320 = .1625 = 16.25%

selling= (96-3)*4=372
profit= 372-96*40/12=Rs 52
original cost= 40*96/12= 320
percent profit= 52/320 * 100=16.25 per cent
