Hey I need help so I came here I usually only check my answers by its urgent.

8. Which ratio can be used to convert meters to kilometers?
A.100km/1m
B.1,000km/1m
C.1km/1,000m
D.1km/10m

3 answers

x meters * 1 km/1000 meters = x/1000 km
There are two ways to think about this sort of conversion .
I do it the physics/engineering way
anything /same thing = 1
so does not change the quantity, only the name.
in other words 1000m/1 km is one and 1 km/ 1000 m is aalso 1, same top and bottom
so if I have x meters multiply by 1km/1000 m , only changes name to km
if I have y km multiply by 1000 m/km , only changes name to meters
.................................................................
also a math way:
x meters / y kilometers = 1000 meters / 1 km
so
1000 y = 1 x
y = x/1000
thx Damon
