just to help any body whos looking for the answer, its actually B. in the book "my world interactive: world history" it says that "Under the Koryo, Buddhism and Confucianism were powerful forces" hence meaning that it can not be D. It also states that " the Civil service exams were open to all Koreans" if you have this book I suggest you read it before asking the web for answers. and yes I did come here not because I was looking for answers, I was looking for a way to double check my answer.

I apologize for my mistake earlier. The correct answer is D. Koreans had their own unique religion and discouraged people from practicing Buddhism. Confucianism was the official belief system of the Koryo dynasty, and Buddhism was viewed as a foreign influence. Thank you to those who pointed out my error.
