Compute the following:
Let g(x)=3x, and h(x)=x^2+1.
g(-1)

Need help with understanding, please show what you did.

since g(x) = 3x,
replace x with -1 and you have
g(-1) = 3(-1) = -3

similarly, h(2) = 2^2 + 1 = 5
