How would you obtain a sample of a pure iodine from a mixture of iodine and lead (ii) sulphate.

You don't say how much pure I2 you want, but for small amounts you can place the mixture in a beaker, place a watch glass containing some water (or a piece of ice) over the top of the beaker, GENTLY heat the beaker containing the mixture. The I2 will sublime and re condense on the underneath side of the watch glass. Remove the watch glass and scrape off the solid I2 from the bottom of the watch glass.
