why not just say :
(5/28) ÷ (1/7
= (5/28)(7/1)
= 5/4 or 1 1/4
#2
again "8start fraction 2 over 5 end fraction ÷ 2start fraction 5 over 8 end fraction" ???
why not just say
8(2/5) ÷ 2(5/8)
= 16/5 ÷2(5/8)
= 8/5(5/8) according to the order of operation
= 1 , not one of the choices, so you must have meant something different
Use brackets and my notation to restate the question
(5/28) ÷ (1/7
= (5/28)(7/1)

maybe you meant
8(2/5) ÷ 2(5/8)
(16/5) ÷ (5/4)
(16/5)(4/5)
64/25 or
Apparently not. So, it must have been
8 2/5 ÷ 2 5/8
(42/5) ÷ (21/8)
(42/5)(8/21)
16/5 = 3 1/5
so, (A)
8(2/5) ÷ 2(5/8)
(16/5) ÷ (5/4)
(16/5)(4/5)
64/25 or
Apparently not. So, it must have been
8 2/5 ÷ 2 5/8
(42/5) ÷ (21/8)
