4x-y= -3
6x-y= -8
subtract the top from the bottom and you get
2x = -5
x = -5/2
y = 4x+3 = -10+3 = -7
So, (-2.5,-7)

You can do the other in a similar way, or use substitution.
Once you have your answer, check to make sure it works in both equations.
