A rectangular building measures 64′ in length and 32′ in width. If the wall studs will be spaced at 16″ OC, what would be the total number of studs needed for the exterior wall of this building?

For a basic 16-inch OC layout on a stud wall, you can simply make a mark every time you see a red number: 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96, etc. Then, you place the studs on the same side of each mark; if you measured from left to right, the studs would go on the right side of each mark.
