M = w

Elle is 6 years younger than Felicia ... E = F - 6 = (w / 2) - 6

a) w - [(w / 2) - 6] = (w / 2) + 6

b) {w + (w / 2) + [(w / 2) - 6]} / 3 = (2 w - 6) / 3
