Drag each idea to the thinker that would agree with it the most. Ideas can be used once or not at all. The power to rule a country is given by God alone, and the monarch should be treated as God's chosen representative.
People have rights as soon as they are born, and the government has a duty to protect these rights.
When societies form governments, people give up some of their rights in exchange for law and order.
Religious wars have caused enough damage. Everyone should be allowed to practice their own religion.
Tyranny is unavoidable when one person or group holds too much governmental power.
The best way for a nation to increase wealth is to remove all barriers to trade.
John Locke
Baron de Montesquieu
Jean-Jacques Rousseau

There are four men named here and six ideas listed. How will you match them? Your directions say "drag and drop" which we cannot do here, but you clearly need to reread and study your text to decide which of those ideas belongs with which of the four men.
1. John Locke
2. Baron de Montesquieu
3. Jean-Jacques Rousseau
4. Adam Smith
Six ideas listed:
A. The power to rule a country is given by God alone, and the monarch should be treated as God's chosen representative.
B. People have rights as soon as they are born, and the government has a duty to protect these rights.
C. When societies form governments, people give up some of their rights in exchange for law and order.
D. Religious wars have caused enough damage. Everyone should be allowed to practice their own religion.
E. Tyranny is unavoidable when one person or group holds too much governmental power.
F. The best way for a nation to increase wealth is to remove all barriers to trade.
(If you had understood the question, read and reread your text, and spaced the elements correctly, you should have understood this by now. Did you go straight to the test or quiz without reading and studying your text? I sure hope not.)
