How did you decide what the whole number part of your estimate should be for the square?

45 = 5 * 9
so
sqrt 45 = 3 sqrt 5 = the side of the square
The square root of 5 is an irrational number.
sqrt 5 = 2.2360679775 etc etc etc not repeating , no exact answer
