10 men can build a house in 6 months, how many men would it take to build the house in 4 months?

it takes 60 man-months to build the house
so in 4 months it would take 60/4 or 15 men to build the house

or , the time taken is inversely proportional to the men used
m = k (1/t)
if t = 6, m = 10
10 = k(1/10)
k = 60

m = 60/t
so if t = 4, m = 60/4 = 15

notice the calculation steps are the same
