How do you solve
1. |x+2|-3= 9
2. |x-3|+2= 2
I don't get it, please help

get the absolute value by itself on one side

remove the absolute value by adding ± to the other side

|x+2|-3= 9 ... |x+2| = 12 ... x + 2 = ±12 ... x = 10 , x = -14
