Edmond wants his students to be well-prepared for their test. They will spend 1/5 of their review time on fractions and 6/7 of their review time-on decimals. How much longer will they spend on fractions than on decimals?

1/5 * 7 = 7/35
6/7 * 5 = 30/35
37/35 is more than a whole
Your question doesn't make sense.

Huh ?
1/5 = 0.20
6/7 = almost 1
in other words they spent more time on decimals by far.
Do you have a typo?
What is the total time anyway? You need that to get the difference.
by the way
1/5 + 6/7 = 7/35 + 30/35 = 37/35 which is more than all the time.
Something is very wrong with your problem statement.
