free fall equation is ... h = -1/2 g t^2 + ho

h = 0 (ground level) , ho = drop height

plug in values and solve for t ... the positive value
Answered by Henry
h = -1/2 g t^2 + ho = 0,
1/2 g t^2 = ho,
1/2 g t^2 = 20.
0.5*9.8t^2 = 20,
t = ?
